Work Description: Cabinet refacing and screen replacement
Comments: the job ran two weeks over the promised finish date, first door was not delivered for inspection as agreed and quality was substandard at best. The doors and drawers were not in the best shape, but he looked and gave a price before quoteing and he is the professional not me and should have told me this is going to look terrible and you are going to be throwing your money away if you do this.
Home Renovations, LLC Replied:
Customer was extreemely budget consious. She explained that she had forclose on the property as a private money lender and was just trying to put the house back on the market. The doors and drawers were damaged when the previous owners moved out.She asked me to relaminate her existing doors and drawers with white laminate. I gave her three options. 1. relaminate her doors 2. buy raised panel foil doors or 3. build all wood raised panel doors. She took the least expensive option. I built her 4 new doors and 2 drawers, relaminated the remainder of her doors and drawers. She asked me to use Black laminate on the edges. I explained to her that, that was not standard but I had done some non-standard things in the past for customers and they were happy with the results. When she saw the doors with the black edging she did not like them, I offered to re-laminate them with white edging at no cost to her. She said the doors would be fine. I am not sure how I could have made this customer happy. The project took two weeks from down payment to completion.
